My experience was that the staff was pleasant, the office was clean and the dentist was very gentle.

I highly recommend Affordable Dentures & Implants. From when you walk in till you meet the dentist, everyone is so professional and friendly. Had work done and everyone did a great job advising me on each step and to make sure I was ok and doing ok during the visit!

Parents were here from abroad needed emergency dental work. Whole team from front desk to staff were excellent. Dr Farooq is an excellent doctor who knows what he is doing.

First off I'm writing this review to vent as much as anything else. I was in the VA beach office a week ago to get extractions and temporary dentures. The doctor did an excellent job making this as painless as possible and the dentures seem to fit well. However a week later and I'm still in quite a bit of pain. There is a hole in one of my sockets that goes directly into my sinuses and there is a loose bone fragment sticking out of another. Neither of these issues are uncommon. I called a few days ago and got another prescription for pain killers and yes I am (painfully) aware that it would be irresponsible for the doctor to keep prescribing me pain killers. So why 4 stars? That's because like way to many businesses these days no one likes to answer the phone! There are 3 people in the office (who are all very nice) who don't seem to be too busy to answer the phone. Out of about 15 calls only one was answered. Why 15? when I only needed to talk to them 3 times (once to set up the appointment, Once to postpone the appointment and once to get a prescription) BECAUSE THEY DON"T ANSWER THE PHONE!!! While this behavior may be OK or even expected by the younger generation, I would imagine this business sells dentures predominately to the older generation like me and while I certainly cant speak for everyone I would imagine that most people my age would at the very least expect someone to answer the phone after spending a large sum of money.

Update: So after my initial review (which was positive I just had some constructive feedback about communicating the process with clients, the dentist addressed it the very next visit. Dr Farooq explained he read my review and wanted to ensure I knew the process. He said the feedback helps them grow and he was thankful for the feedback. I have to say, I was quite impressed. I certainly didn't think the dentist would read a review so it was a pleasant surprise. Even more so when he was eager to share how in the future the practice would ensure patients had materials outlining where they are in the process (first time implants is a process). I'm thankful for the level of customer service he provided as it isn't typically expected from a health care professional. I have to say, I'm really impressed not only with the value they have provided (and the positive quality of life changes) but the customer service they went out of their way to provide. So for the most part, it's been a great experience and one of the best decisions I've made. I've never had to wait, everyone is professional and pleasant, and there seems to be good value in what they provide. The one thing I wish was someone was upfront about the process and communicated that better. That's minor, seeing how we live 10 minutes away and I work from home. I just never know when I will have another appointment. Today I thought was my finals. That was simply to make a mold for my finals, which I have to come in at the end of the week to get them fitted. After I'm fitted I have no idea if I come back or not. I've never been thru this before, so it's just hard to know what to expect.
